If you have finished reading The Office of Shaman by John Worthington, it is likely you are wondering what to do with what you have read. The answer lies in finding a way to apply the new information, using the framework of the Tools and Functions and incorporating them into your personal skill set. It is important to realize that the The Office of Shaman Tools and Functions are presented in a particular order for a particular reason. The structure of this set depends on establishing a solid foundation, then laying on layers of experience and practice until the full set is realized. The place to start is right at the beginning, no matter what innate skills you might demonstrate. The first thing you need to incorporate into your life is the Be One Function. The way to do that is to use the Tool of Programming. Be One, as you may recall, is the function that unifies the self. Simply put, by applying the Be One Function, one unifies body, mind, and soul by creating a clear pathway from the soul to the conscious mind, thereby allowing the body to become an instrument of communication for the soul. Our resident programs, (those behaviors, worldviews, and practices we embody), are the product of a lifetime of indoctrination and cultural conditioning. The objective in using the Programming Tool is to move enough of that indoctrination out of the way so that the soul can express clearly. This is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to do alone. As the book says: You can’t see the color of your own eyes without employing the use of a mirror. Our resident programs were put in place to allow us to assemble, and make sense of, our individual worlds. We use the resident programs themselves to see and interact with our reality. But, like seeing your own eyes, the resident programs can’t look back to examine themselves, nor are they the least bit interested in getting pushed out of the way. That is why we strongly recommend the use of a guide to act as a mirror as you write your Program. With the aid of a guide, you can recognize and change any of the resident programming that you have in place. These guides are called Program Facilitators and they will walk you through your Programming process by using evaluation, pointed questioning, brutal honesty, and instruction. This process is, by needs, an individual one, and is performed through the exchange of emails via the Internet. This method allows for repeated review of the material presented by the Program Facilitators and provides you with a record of your own responses in context throughout the process. If you are interested in incorporating Be One into your skill set and wish to clear a pathway from your soul to your conscious mind, you can sign up for Programming with one of our Facilitators by contacting us. The next leg of your journey starts there. A programming rewrite costs $500 and takes as long as it takes. It is conducted primarily through email and online chat with a randomly assigned Program Facilitator. |
